I enrolled onto the two-day SAP Crystal Reports Introduction course run by DSCallards as a complete novice.
I will admit I had some concerns the course would be too much for me to handle and that I’d have trouble keeping up with the rest of the class. Thankfully, nothing could be further from the truth. The session was run by the extremely enthusiastic Steve Chapman who put everyone at ease with his quick witted humour as well as getting to grips with everybody’s skill set and experience before beginning the training. Everyone who took part had a laptop with the software pre-loaded and course manual loaded with procedures, navigation and tips.
The class was lead through a variety of exercises starting with the basics : Connecting to a database, choosing your reporting fields and navigation of Crystal Reports. I absorbed more information than I thought I would. Going into the second day Steve asked us to create a report with specific fields and requirements which I found myself able to deliver with relative ease. Steve’s effective mix of hands on and interactive teaching really helped the class retain necessary information and had us all up to speed creating and editing reports really quickly.
I left the session feeling satisfied and confident knowing I could create reports as and when required.
