DSCallards Donate to Local Charity, Exeter Baby Bank

Data Analytics experts, DSCallards, has made a donation of £240 to Exeter Baby Bank – a UK charity for vulnerable children and their families.

Baby Bank Network Exeter was created to help alleviate child poverty in homes within a 30 mile radius of Exeter; to support families in need at times of financial and emotional stress. The organisation serves to bring together health care professionals, charities, local businesses and members of the public to address the relief of poverty at a local level.

The Baby Bank is a simple yet effective idea. They collect good quality pre-loved and new baby items donated by members of their community and then re-distribute them to families in need, free of charge, via a referral system. The results of the service reduce parental stress, anxiety, reduce financial burden and depression. Improving mental health and allowing parents the ability to focus on other aspects of home life, in turn improves living environments for babies and children, allowing them to thrive.

Founder, Kate Smith at Exeter Baby Bank, said: “We are thrilled with the donation from DSCallards and would like to say a huge thank you to them for supporting us. The money will help us reach out to young children in vulnerable families to help them to thrive.”

Ray Kemp, Director, DSCallards, said “We are delighted to have been able to make this donation to Baby Bank Exeter. As part of our corporate social responsibility programme we chose to support this charity because of the excellent work it carries out. DSCallards have a lot of admiration for the charitable work that Baby Bank Exeter do for so many families who need help. So, by donating we aim to help fund their continuing good work! Well done to the Baby Bank team.”
