JAMES DRYDEN

Technical Business Intelligence Consultant

PROFILE

James graduated in 2004 from Bournemouth University with a BSC in Business Information Systems Management. Upon graduating James utilised his impressive IT skill-set with software specialists - Grey Matter - before joining DSCallards in 2006

BACKGROUND

James began his career in 2004 as an Asset Management Consultant with Devon-based Grey Matter, a specialist in the supply of business, technical and development software to tailored licensing, deployment and management solutions.

In 2006, James took up a key technical consultancy position with the Business Intelligence team with DSCallards. Since joining the company James has gone from strength to strength and has worked on major projects spanning the entire spectrum of the Business Objects’ suite of software – from Crystal Reports to Crystal Xcelsius to BusinessObjects Edge to Crystal Enterprise.

James’ area of expertise covers integration of Crystal Reports software solutions with systems such as SAP, Oracle, SQL, MS Access and a number of proprietary databases. Projects to date include:

Company	Assignment
Geotechnical Instruments	Six-month Crystal Reports development project against the 123MRP system, with staff training programs to maintain the system. DSCallards have periodic visits back to Geotech to continue the project.
Co-operative Group	Crystal Reports training and consultancy for five members of staff, working with the Co-operative’s bespoke Logistics Management system.
Treasury Solicitors	Crystal Reports development to provide Government Departments with an efficient, improved billing system.
West Yorkshire Police	An end-to-end project consisting of requirements collection, installation, development, management and training of BusinessObjects Edge, working over a period of three months against Lexis Nexis’ SolCase system.
Schroders	A three-phase project through SalesForce.com, crystalreports.com and Crystal Xcelsius development.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

James is pretty much a fitness fanatic and enjoys playing football and basketball and has regular trips to the gym. He has also recently purchased his first house and spends many weekends brushing up on his DIY skills!
