Business Objects Positioned in Leaders Quadrant in Business Intelligence Platforms Report |
WALLDORF, Germany an Paris and San Jose - February 11, 2008 - As a first indication of the successful pace of integration of the two companies, SAP AG and Business Objects S.A. today announced that it has been positioned in the leaders quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s latest “Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms1” report, published February 1, 2008.
According to Gartner, "Leaders are vendors that are reasonably strong in the breadth and depth of their BI platform capabilities, and can deliver on enterprise-wide implementations that support a broad BI strategy. Leaders articulate a business proposition that resonates with buyers, supported by the viability and operational capability to deliver on a global basis.”
BusinessObjects XI is highly regarded by customers as an end-to-end BI platform – from information discovery and delivery solutions, including advanced analytics like predictive, to enterprise information management – enabling users to have all data at their fingertips, answer critical questions and share trusted insights among people and teams across their entire business network. With a broad array of connectivity options to any data source, structured or un-structured, BusinessObjects XI is ideally suited for any enterprise environment.
Already a business intelligence market leader, Business Objects has continued to strengthen its market position in 2007 through the acquisition of Inxight and addition of text analytics to its portfolio, as well as increased adoption of its software-as-a-service solutions.
“For nearly eighteen years, Business Objects has been shaping the business intelligence market, continually driving innovation and challenging the industry to reach for new heights,” said Marge Breya, executive vice president and general manager, Business Intelligence Platform Group at Business Objects. “Now, as part of SAP, we are poised for even greater success as we continue to deliver our customers the solutions they need for their heterogeneous environments to truly transform the way they work and accelerate their business performance.”
SAP and Business Objects Webcast on the Future of Business Intelligence and New Product Announcements
Business Objects also announced today that it had invited companies worldwide to find out what the union of SAP and Business Objects will mean for their organizations. Henning Kagermann, CEO SAP, and John Schwarz, CEO of Business Objects, will host a webcast on February 12, 2008 to announce new offerings from SAP and Business Objects designed to turn insight into action, optimize decisions, and to help companies to close the loop between strategy and execution.
